Our vision for this project was to create a useable low maintenance outdoor space. As such, plants were selected on behalf of the client with a focus on aesthetics and practicability. To soften the landscape and inspire interest to the garden, we utilised the natural contours of the land and created a dry river bed. Using three grades of river pebbles and small pockets of Dromana toppings and Bush mulch, we ensured that the river bed retained a natural feel and a contrast of textures. To promote sustainability and encourage interactions with the space, a raised vegetable/herb garden was built from treated pine sleepers. A 90mm modwood deck was designed and built with a raised area for our clients to relax and enjoy their new surroundings.
